The need for innovation in food companies is becoming more and more pronounced in the face of market demands, and the lack of 360º solutions to help and guide has led to the creation of a private certified laboratory. Thus CFER was born, from conception to realization, filling this gap in the market.

CFER, based in the central region of Portugal, was founded in 2019 with the clear purpose of increasing the degree of innovation in the food sector. The main objective is to explore research and development activities to drive the creation of new foods, beverages and food supplements. With a dedicated team and a commitment to excellence, CFER is determined to lead the way in introducing innovative products that meet the ever-evolving needs and expectations of consumers.


After working for several years in food laboratories and carrying out various innovation projects, founder and CEO Daniel Abegão realized that there were no companies that covered the entire product development process in a 360º service.
CFER is therefore growing exponentially, with a focus on completing the innovation and development process, monitoring the product from development in the laboratory to factory output - scale production, ready for sale.
